MEET Our Team

Shannon is the part-time Staff Naturalist for Warren County Park District and is in charge of facilitating community-wide nature programs and organizing our Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist (OCVN) team. She was recently granted the "Educator of the Year" award by the Warren Co. Soil and Water Conservation District.

Dianna is the current Friends President. She is a retired scientific communications professional and is an OCVN and an National Association for Interpretation Certified Interpretive Guide. Dianna most recently wrote and received an Ohio EPA grant for and helped design our Solar Pollinator Habitat Discovery Trail.  

Bill is a retired teacher and OCVN who has dedicated countless hours to the betterment of Warren County Parks. You may find him at Hisey Park, tending to the native trees in his nursery, or at one of our many nature programs.

Dave was a Friend of the Warren County Park District and Volunteer Naturalist even before taking the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist training in 2009. He enjoys nature photography as a hobby and uses his pictures in narrated slide show presentations as nature education programs for the public.

Judy is co-founder of the Friends group and has served as President and Treasurer since the group’s founding in 2005. She is an avid macro nature photographer and an OCVN, and is also co-founder and Treasurer of the Warren County Astronomical Society which has its home base in Hisey Park.

Kathy is co-founder of Friends of the Park and has served as its President and Treasurer. She took the OCVN course three years ago and continues her quest to learn more about nature. “What better way to learn than in the Warren County Parks!” 

 A retired Park Board Commissioner and conservationist for more than 17 years, Bill is an outdoorsman who loves nature and remains active in the Friends Group. He is an OCVN and currently serves on the board of the Little Miami Conservancy. 

 Dave has been a member almost since the inception of the Friends group. He and his family have lived in Warren County since 1993; they love the area and especially our Parks! He is a Financial Director for a Non-Profit Organization in Cincinnati and has used his administrative skills wherever possible to assist the Friends group.
